Kids running around, grains of rice all over the floor, and piles of leaves on a truck. On Friday, I went on a trip for a community service at Pattaya. The teachers divided all the students into 3 groups, and I was in the Daycare center group. Most of the kids in the Daycare center are either orphans or their families are too poor to raise them. The kids there were really energetic, active, and their eyes are filled with curiosity when they looked at us.
At the Daycare center, we played with a huge group of kids, but we also raked and huge pile of leaves. We did everything we can to help the Daycare center. First, I started with raking the leaves. There wasn't a lot of leaves, there was a massive amount of leaves that you can't even imagine. While I was raking the leaves, I felt like I was only making a small portion of devotion for the daycare center. The teachers there had to do this for almost their entire lives, but I was only there to help for about 2 hours and half. Having that thought in my mind, I worked extra hard. I wanted to give as much help to the daycare center and I wanted to be a really useful person just for 2 and a half hours. For that instant, I felt like a caring citizen. Since I devoted as much energy I can to this little community.
After raking the leaves, I was sent to carry water into the freezer, and move the rice into another shelf. When we were carrying the water, I loved to be the one standing in front of that gigantic freezer. After raking 40 minutes of leaves under the hot sun, coming in door and having this big box filled with cool air. That was just like paradise! The cooling air pressing on to my face, that feeling was AWESOME! I really enjoyed carrying the water into the freezer, but not the rice. When we were carrying the rice onto another shelf, there were many grains of rice that has escaped from the bag. Let me tell you, the moment when that grain of rice falls onto your knee. A combination of itchy and pain occurs like a chemical reaction on your skin. After carrying the food or supplies for the children, I went to play with the children. That was the funnest activity, yet the most tiring activity. Many kids wanted a piggy back ride and they really enjoyed drawing with the markers. One of the children really enjoyed piggy back rides, so I carried him around, ran as fast as I could with him on my back, and turn around in circles. When I felt that I need a little bit more oxygen than usual, I would put the child down. The child would ask " Are you okay?", and that moment I felt really happy with some physical tiresome. All of these kids have a really kind and nice heart, we should be more caring citizens are keep on doing community services for these children. I was a caring citizen for 2.5 hours, I tried to fulfill the children's wish with all the energy I had.

My Bias, your opinion: Patriots vs. Terrorists
Currently, in social studies class I am learning about the American Revolution. I am pretty sure that some readers out there are really familiar to this topic. Today in class an inspiring question appeared, "Are patriots actually terrorists?". This question really brought the class into a "metacognition mode". Everyone's faces suddenly became so serious and everyone began to flip their note for supporting details. In my opinion, patriots are just common citizens but they have a really loyal heart towards their country. They might be a little violent towards the government they dislike, but this doesn't mean that they are terrorist. For example, the Egyptians that were having this revolution in their home country. They are just common citizens such as the George and Sally you can find on the street. I know that they were sort of violent during the revolution, but if you think about the sad things they had to go through under that type of government. The pain, the sorrows, and the unfair treatment under that government. According to John Locke, humans will over throw a government when they dislike it. So this means that these patriots are standing up for their country because they love it and they need the change. In conclusion, patriots aren't terrorists because they have a really good and positive reason to throw over the government, and they have no intention to harm anyone because they love their country.

So... what are you?
There are many types of questions that are asked when you meet new people. From the most basic, "What is your name?" to "What are your interest?". Those questions are asked to know the person you are meeting better, but in my case there are some really irritating questions that pops out from nowhere. Those questions are " Are you Japanese?", "Are you Korean?" and "Are you Chinese?". Well, sorry all of the nationalities in your questions are all wrong, I'm Taiwanese. Sometimes, I really want to put a tag on myself saying " I'm a Taiwanese!" to prevent all those questions. I really dislike answering questions, and don't ask me why because I don't know either. In case you don't know where is Taiwan. Taiwan is a really small country located on the Pacific Ocean, and you can call Taiwan a place combined by Japanese and Chinese culture. I know it is because of my face that people would mistaken me as so much different nationalities. My eyes are not really big, my skin color is really close to Japanese people's skin color, and my hair is really black. Basically, I have the typical Asian look. I really understand the reason I get mistaken as so many nationalities, but I just can't accept it deep inside my heart. Maybe you can call this the Asian pride.

May I go to the toilet?
May I go to the toilet? This question always pops up in class, and creates a really awkward but funny atmosphere. "May I go to the toilet?", such a simple phrase, but people who are currently in the flood areas aren't able to go to the toilet. Their toilet's are either flooded, or the toilet was unable to flush. So, a certain company in Thailand designed a floating toilet. The really special part of this toilet is that, there are micro organisms who would treat those waste. I find this invention really convenient and helpful, since it provides the victims of the flood a proper place to treat their waste. Well, this is a really creative way to help the flood, because have micro organisms to treat your waste was a really clever and hygienic. Since there are many concerns for the flood victims to have to live with their waste and the dirty water. This innovation fully solves this problem, and helps improve the flood's victims' environment. Maybe this floating toilet is not the most creative one, but I am sure that it is one of the most helpful innovations.

The Water Prison; Flood
The flood that is currently happening in Thailand affected a lot of families. I live in a condominium downtown, so I am really lucky that I am not affected as much as the others. Also, the area that I live in is one of the areas the government chose to protect. Despite of the direct affects such as flooding, my family is also affected. Rice, vegetable, and other groceries have increased price. The price of the groceries right now seriously made my eyes pop out, but we still brought a lot of groceries. The price of groceries are getting higher but my mom's wallet is getting thinner.
During this flood, observing what is happening on the news is a really important thing. In my opinion, the news are making the citizens panic. One certain day, my mom was in the supermarket (She was like a warrior choosing her weapons to defeat the flood ) and there were camera's shooting the situation of the groceries being sold . The camera only chose the selves that were empty. Humans are really easy to be influenced by their media, so when people start to see that most of the groceries are gone, they'll start to panic. I know that being a news reporter you need to have exciting news and news that catch people's attention, but creating more panic between the citizens isn't a really nice idea.
Due to the flood our school has closed for a REALLY LONG TIME, and day by day I feel like my brain is turning into an empty shell. We do have homework assigned online, but learning with your face towards the screen?!!! Are you joking with me?? Our laptops are seducing us to open different type’s entertainment tabs!!! Do, due to all of these reasons I really wish the school can reopen really soon. I prefer to be taught face to face instead of face to screen. Please save my brain before it really turns into an empty shell. The sun, please increase your temperature for the flood water to evaporate as fast as possible.

Rubric:Cooperation::Blogpost:Identity
In our language arts class we've been working on translating a rubric. The rubric was originally written in a more complex form of English, and our job was to simplify it into a more simple form of English, just like math. During this process of simplifying the rubric we have to cooperate with our teammates a lot. We had to decide who would do the different categories, and how are we going to show the difference between the different levels. I have no absolutely no offense to my other teammates, but can't they pay more attention on their assignment instead of chatting? One of them.... actually two of them stopped and began to chat after typing one line. That really disappointed me, since I am a impatient person.
How does this rubric relate to me identity? Well, during the process when we were typing down the rubric, I wrote a jumbo combination of examples and details into the rubric. After, we got into a big group to decide how the final rubric should be, I received a whole big bucket of complaints about my category being too long. I absorbed the bucket of complaints, took a good look at it, and decided to take those advice into a lesson. My rubric was too long and I know that, but I can't find the reason why I made it so long. In the past, most of my writings were longer than my other classmates. Writing a ton lot and writing with many extra details is a weakness but also a strength for my writing. I often don't miss out the details and provide a better image to my readers when I write with extra details on the other hand, my writing might make my readers bored easier.
The rubric assignment reflects on my personality, because it shows the way I write and shows how I cooperate with my teammates. Most of the time, I would be the one to take a step back and start compromising with the other people. Sometimes, when I think there is a really good and awesome idea, I would go for it and no one can stop me. This shows my impatient and wordy part of my identity, and I really like this part of my identity. These two parts of my identity helps me in my speed of working and the accuracy in working.

Identity Video
This is my project on my identity and it is presented as the form of a video. In this video I provided picture and music that makes other people understand my identity. During the process of making this video the hardest thing in my opinion was doing the citations which is caused by my bad habbit on not giving credits to the information i got from my sources. Overall, please enjoy my video.
